"Sights and Sounds"
We are fortunate enough to book great guests from our area, some of them legendary. We had such great personalities as Dick Thompson and Johnny Kay, both radio legends and pioneers of Rock 'n Roll radio in the salad days of WHOT in the 50's and 60's. Holly Burnett was a renouned journalist and founder of the area's first and only magazine that was dedicated to the arts. Dr. Rock joined us for our final show in the last days of WASN, and was it a blast! With his distinctive style and that unique voice, Dr. Rock took us back for some great memories featuring hits of the 50's and 60's. Pammy John, a native of Indianapolis, enlightened us with her insight into the fascinating world of visual art. Linda Weaver, founder of LeModelin, the area's most successful modeling and acting agency ever, gave us a first hand look into colorful descriptions of her experience as a booking agent. Let's not forget John Timmins, who gave us his valuable knowledge of the inner workings of the TNT (Trumbull New Theater). Larry Neely, talented musician and TV host of The Larry Neely Show, was gracious enough to come by for a great evening of chat and music.
